A comprehensive assessment and examination is the initial experience at Wildwood Recovery. Our professional team of experts looks at all the aspects of the client's life. The medical assessment includes a complete history and physical to identify any underlying medical conditions requiring concurrent treatment. A psychiatric and psychological assessment is made to determine if there is any co-occurring mental illness. A chemical history is completed at this time to establish the extent and severity of the addiction. A lifestyle evaluation provides our team the information necessary to guide the treatment towards reaching a drug-free independent life away from the security of a controlled environment.
An assessment is necessary to determine a formal diagnosis and to provide a base for defining a treatment plan. Our treatment goal is from 30 to 90 days, and to reach that goal, we must have adequate information to clearly define the best therapies and services required. Successful recovery is enhanced by the knowledge gained during the comprehensive examination.
